DCF In the Spotlight: Carol Hewett
|
|
To kick off the New Year, DCF is proud to announce that our member "In the Spotlight" is Carol Hewett. Carol has been an active member of DCF since 2002, having served on the Board of Directors for two years in addition to participating on several committees.
As a dedicated development professional with expertise in business, life and primarily career coaching, Carol focuses on asking thought-provoking questions to uncover her clients’ issues and needs. From there, she identifies the next steps in creating a plan that is reasonable, on target and attainable for each client. Her ideal clients are people of all ages who want to find a more rewarding career, entrepreneurs who want to build their business, and people who want to grow in their current career.
Carol graduated from Coach U Coach Training Program (CTP) in November 2002. She continues to update her training via Special Interest Groups through Coach U, attends ICF conferences, and enjoys the special interest programs that DCF provides, including the DCF Marketing SIG.
As a former Human Resources Director for 25+ years with a Masters Degree in Human Resource Development and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, her expertise lies in the ability to develop rapport with her clients and build a solid, confidential relationship that allows each client to discover their strengths, aspirations, and goals to fulfill their dreams.
Her coaching philosophy is simple…let her help you exercise your thoughts about how to improve your life, success, and happiness. Carol believes coaching helps clients make the best decisions, supports their plan of action, and helps bring out the client’s personal best. The value in coaching is up to the individual and how much effort they put into it.
When asked why she continues to be a part of the DCF, she replied, "I totally enjoy meeting other coaches and love the continuing education I receive by being a member of the DCF." Thank you, Carol, for sharing your time, talents, and expertise with DCF! We appreciate all that you do as well as your positive attitude.

DCF In the Spotlight: Levya Braman
|
|
Denver Coach Federation is proud to announce Levya Braman as our member "In the Spotlight." Levya is a dedicated DCF member who shares her warm, friendly personality with our members, ongoing support and commitment to DCF, and passion for the coaching industry.
Levya graduated from The Ford Institute for Integrative Coaching in January 2005. Before she began her coaching career, she had a wide-range of work experiences in the non-profit sector, corporate America, healthcare, and as an entrepreneur, owning several of her own businesses. She has a BSW and an MS in Management, and after working in several high-stress management positions, decided it was time to switch careers and follow her love of helping others.
She really enjoys coaching because she gets to do work that’s important to her while also making a difference in the lives of others. She specializes in coaching busy professionals, entrepreneurs, company executives, and women who are seeking balance between their work and personal lives. She helps them identify what’s important to them so that they’re living a life that’s in alignment with their priorities. Creating healthy relationships and self-care are part of her focus.
How does Levya describe her coaching style? "I like to think of myself as an eclectic coach. I use my background (work experiences), my integrative training, and then blend that which resonates with me from the numerous workshops I’ve attended. I am a big proponent of continual learning," says Levya.
With a thriving coaching practice, including teaching fun, inspiring workshops, Levya still finds time to give back to DCF. She served as our Marketing Director from 2009 – 2010 and was responsible for creating our new DCF website (BIG undertaking), has facilitated our Marketing SIG several times, and has currently volunteered to jump in and support our Membership Director. We certainly appreciate all that she does for DCF!
What sets Levya apart from other coaches? Her coaching philosophy can best be summed up by Andre Gide’s quote, "You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore." She sees her role as a mirror to her client but also one who encourages. She recognizes that each client comes with oceans they want to explore; they just need someone who believes in them and can help them find their own courage.
Levya is a huge fan of the DCF. She initially joined DCF to learn all that she could about her new coaching career and found the monthly meetings to be so helpful because they kept her going from month to month. "My business didn’t initially boom as I’d hoped it would so the meetings built me back up when I was discouraged," says Levya. The Wins & Wows inspired her each month, and she found the speaker presentations to be valuable and helpful to her practice. She attends the meetings to stay current on new coaching trends and enjoys the camaraderie of the other coaches.
She encourages all coaches, regardless of how long they’ve been coaching, to join the DCF. If you’re an experienced coach, see how you might give back to newer coaches, and if you’re a new coach, come and be inspired. Great advice, Levya!
"Coaching unlocks possibilities within. It is a way to help people discover, explore, and claim their full selves." Levya Braman

DCF In the Spotlight: Paul Siefert
|
|
Denver Coach Federation is happy to announce that Paul Siefert has been chosen as our October Volunteer of the Month. We sincerely appreciate Paul’s willingness to jump in and offer his experiences, talents, vision, and commitment to DCF and the coaching community!
Paul moved to the Denver area in 2009 and started attending DCF events in 2010. He became a valued, contributing member to our organization in March 2011.
His extensive background and experiences include a career as a former sales trainer for Fortune 500 companies, a member of the IBM/ROLM Executive Briefing Center, a Masters in Marriage Family Child Counseling (MFCC), and a licensed Financial Advisor/Coach. He participated in Tony Robbins “Advanced Skills Training for Coaches” and completed his training as a coach with ICF-certified Express Coaching Inc. In his spare time, he has earned a Black Belt in Karate. He is quite the busy guy, and yet he still has time to give back to DCF. What a great guy!
Currently, Paul is a dedicated, passionate coach who thrives on working with motivated, committed professionals to help them transform their finances, increase their presence as an effective speaker, and strengthen their strategic influence within their organization.
When describing his coaching philosophy, he states, “When the student is ready and willing, the teacher will appear! In other words, work with people who are hungry and ready to go to work, and when they are ready, hold them to the greatness that is within them.” Well said, Paul!
What are some of the benefits Paul receives as a DCF member? He believes DCF offers its members vital tools for coaches new to an area and provides a family of practitioners eager to share their ideas, skills, time, and heart. Additionally, the monthly DCF speakers and programs drive his skills upward leaving him hungry for more. Finally, DCF volunteer opportunities provide a means to connect with top coaches and a means to have a positive outreach within the Denver community. According to Paul, if you want to put your coaching career on steroids: Join DCF, engage its members, attend the workshops, and volunteer passionately…it works!
Paul can be reached at 303-720-9504 or paulsiefert@SiefertPerformanceCoaching.com. Check out his website: www.SiefertPerformanceCoaching.com
